FRANCE TAKES HOME 27 STATUES AT 2018 LONDON INTERNATIONAL AWARDS

31 October 2018

(New York, 5th November 2018) LIA, one of the most prestigious Global award shows in Advertising, Digital, Technology driven work, Health & Pharma and Branded Entertainment, today announced the winners. The 33rd Annual London International Awards judging convened over a 10-day period. The Juries, drawn from the world’s most recognized talent and presided over by industry leaders, viewed and scored every entry within their medium, ensuring that all the work was judged equally.

This year France brought home 27 of the coveted LIA statues - 5 Gold, 12 Silver, 10 Bronze and attained 12 Finalists.

In total 705 LIA statues, in addition to finalists, were awarded from 40 countries with France ranking #7. The top countries were United States (211), Germany (111), Australia (53), United Kingdom (50), Canada (41), Brazil (34) and France (27).

“French advertising has always been outstanding.  This year, it was especially gratifying to see brilliant work that actually changed laws and society being awarded.  It makes it all the more satisfying,” said Barbara Levy, President of LIA.

This festival is one of a kind. First of all, no online pre-judging, meaning that all the works entered are screened and pre-judged directly during the festival by the jury members. This is way more objective. Second, the jurors are only top professionals of our industry: no politics, just hard work, in a very friendly atmosphere. And last but not least, students from all over the world are invited to the last day of debate inside every jury: that’s real transparency, and it’s also very generous.”
