Serviceplan China, Beijing takes Home a Silver LIA
(New York, 5th November 2018) LIA, one of the most prestigious Global award shows in Advertising, Digital, Technology driven work, Health & Pharma and Branded Entertainment, today announced the winners. The 33rd Annual London International Awards judging convened over a 10-day period. The Juries, drawn from the world’s most recognized talent and presided over by industry leaders, viewed and scored every entry within their medium, ensuring that all the work was judged equally.
China picks up five Statues and one Finalist at LIA 2018 – one Silver and four Bronze.
Serviceplan China, Beijing won the only Silver Statue for China with their campaign for Portfolio Night, titled “Seek Your Way”. It was awarded by the Print jury in the Use of Typography Campaign category.
Amber China was the other Statue Winner.
Nils Andersson, LIA Print, Poster, Billboard, Ambient and Verbal Identity Juror commented on judging LIA, “I thoroughly enjoyed Judging LIA. Though being inside with the Vegas sunshine outside was tough. As a group of judges, we really aimed to keep the high standard that LIA has become known for. To that end, many pieces did not make it that might have made it through in other shows. Idea and execution need to be perfect to win.”
In total, 705 LIA statues, in addition to finalists, were awarded from 40 countries with the United States leading with 211 awards.
“China is truly an emerging market with very strong creative work coming out from there. It is good to see local Chinese agencies competing with independent international and network agencies and holding their ground creatively,” said Barbara Levy, President of LIA.
